Achilles Tendinitis
Achilles tendinitis is inflammation of the Achilles tendon, the large tendon that connects your calf muscles to your heel bone.

Symptoms:
Pain and stiffness along the Achilles tendon; Pain that worsens with activity; Severe pain the day after exercise; Thickening of the tendon; Bone spur formation
Causes:
Sudden increase in activity intensity or duration; Tight calf muscles; Flat arches; Training on hills or hard surfaces; Aging (tendon weakening); Certain medications (fluoroquinolone antibiotics)
Treatments:
Rest and activity modification; Ice therapy; Physical therapy with eccentric strengthening; Heel lifts or orthotics; Night splints; Anti-inflammatory medications; PRP injections; Surgery (for severe cases or rupture)
