Bunions
A bunion is a bony bump that forms on the joint at the base of your big toe, causing the big toe to point toward the other toes.

Symptoms:
Visible bump on the outside of the base of your big toe; Pain and soreness around the joint; Redness and inflammation; Hardened skin on the bottom of the foot; Restricted movement of the big toe
Causes:
Inherited foot structure and mechanics; Wearing tight, narrow shoes; Foot stress or injuries; Certain inflammatory conditions (like rheumatoid arthritis); Neuromuscular disorders
Treatments:
Wider, more comfortable shoes; Padding and taping; Custom orthotics; Ice and anti-inflammatory medications; Physical therapy; Bunion surgery (bunionectomy)
