Athletes Foot

Athlete's foot is a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes. It commonly occurs in people whose feet have become sweaty while confined within tight-fitting shoes.

Itching, stinging, and burning between toes; Itchy blisters on feet; Dry, scaly skin on soles or sides of feet; Cracking and peeling skin; Raw skin and inflammation

Causes:

Fungal infection (dermatophytes); Warm, moist environments; Walking barefoot in public areas like pools or showers; Sharing socks, shoes, or towels; Sweaty feet

Treatments:

Antifungal medications (creams, sprays, or oral); Keeping feet clean and dry; Wearing clean, breathable socks; Using antifungal powders; Avoiding walking barefoot in public areas
